This
is probably not the
best sermon I ever preached, but it's the best videotape of one of my sermons,
and it's certainly seasonal. It was preached on the third Sunday of (Protestant)
Advent, which would have been the second or third Sunday in December, 1988, at
the Reformed Church of San Jose, the Church of the Chimes. I was a member in good
standing of the congregation at that time, it was between senior pastors, so I
got opportunities to preach occasionally that year. Protestant Advent, I believe,
is the four Sundays before Christmas; in the Orthodox Church I now belong to,
Advent is the 40-day fast before Christmas, November 15 to December 25. This is
the longest GloTube video thus far, coming in at just under one-half hour. The
video was made by my son Michael, who was 14 in 1988.
