The
theme music accompanying our 1987 nationwide tour was "Luka," also known
(by us) as "My Name is Luka," which Kevin would begin rendering in his
own inimitable way any time the travel seemed to drag. The day after the K4 Locomotive
arrived at the Altoona RR museum (see previous Video
Jonal), we drove to Johnstown for one more tour and the miles from one mile
east of Ebensburg into the city was mosly accompanied by that highly stylized
rendition. The recorded version has been added as a soundtrack to this video,
Suzanne Vega's version borrowed from YouTube. And son Kev has long since emerged
as something of a karaoke star at the San Jose clubs. Oh, and I hope you find
the footage of the area from two decades ago worth seeing again.
Running
time, 10 minutes, 30 seconds, "self-narrated."
