After Moher, we were on to Limerick, setting for one of our favorite books
The local wildlife came out to welcome us
We had dinner at an excellent pub on the Shannon River, with Laurel and Hardy
The pub grub had both Irish stew and seafood, some of which we consumed
Directly across the river from the pub is King John's Castle, dating from 1200 A.D.
It's photgenic both close up and in wider angle
The next morning we toured the castle
Though not the best inside and overpriced, it was photogenic inside, too
There are no furnished rooms; just artifacts of skirmishes and wars fought there

The Shannon is only one of many in Ireland, but is its greatest
One of the castle towers
En route back to Dublin we visited a heritage theme park
Touring the park, on a farm way out in the sticks, cost 5 Euros
Though nothing in the park is authentic, it is photogenic. This is a 'Knights Templars' church
Inside the church
A 'Druid rire ring' made us think we'd have been better off touring the Angela's Ashes display
A dolmen. That's what the sign calls it....
A ring fort
A village representing prehistoric residences
A 'holy well.' If you missed all the real ones in Ireland, this will afford a photo op.
The hydrangeas are authentic, and exceptional, along with an extensive flower garden
A few miles on the road is Adare, home of the major street of thatched roof buildings
It's been made famous in the movies
The next morning we flew to London, then to Waterloo Station to catch Eurostar to France
The view outside the London Eurostar station waiting area
