This lovely old church is the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel in Loretto, Pa. (basilica: A Roman Catholic church given ceremonial privileges.) The dark statue in front of the basilica is atop the tomb of Prince Gallitzin.

 
 

Mystery Person of the Week

This 1953 graduate of Nanty Glo High School was known as "Lefty" to his classmates. He was Freshman Class President and a member of the school band, chorus, and yearbook staff. He was never seen using his right hand and couldn't get over the idea that he passed his driver's test. He finally mastered the electric typewriter. He was well supplied with wisecracks. After the flood water went down and Noah lowered the ramp, he told the animals to go forth and multiply. All the animals left except two snakes who lay quietly in the corner of the arc. "Why don't you go forth and multiply?" asked Noah. "We can't," answered the snakes. "We're adders."
