A couple of week-old leftovers Still not back into the groove for writing on new topics, I thought that for today I'd share a couple of additional photos from my visit last week to Home Page Country. Both of these are of subjects recently seen either here on the Postcard pages or the Front Page, but the lighting is always different, and each instance of their capturing finds new nuances. And these are from my latest e-toy. Immergren, the Charles Schwab mansion on his estate in Loretto, is always one of Cambria County's most photogenic sites. I love the interplay of colors on this one. The crane on the right is there for renovations being made on the one-time Bethelehem Steel founder and president's mansion, which is now used as a Catholic monastic center. I finally made my own pilgrimage to the top of "Mount Heisley," which affords the best views of Nanty Glo and the whole Blacklick Valley. It was turning evening here and though this is all familiar, it's a wider angle, I believe, than any of the others we've used, with the Firehall in the center. I believe the smidgen of a field in the upper right is what most people in the area still refer to as the Nipps Farm, though it has long since ceased production. It's along the Cardiff-to-Bethel road, accessed out of Nanty Glo on Cardiff Road. Webmaster Jon Kennedy

Two antennas meet on a roof, fall in love and get married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent. Sent by Mary Ann Losiewicz
