Howard Eugene Estep, had local ties

A reader reports on the death of a man with local ties, reported January 6 in the Washington Post.

Howard Eugene Estep, 61, was a native of Maryland and "sold plants and fresh produce from a stand on a busy intersection in Bowie, Maryland, for the last 27 years." The paper said "he had a second home in Nanty Glo, Pa., and was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Polish Club in Nanty Glo." The cause of death was listed as a heart attack.
