Gene Kelly taught tap dance in Nanty Glo Letter No. 250 | May 13, 2001
Gene Kelly came to the Moose Hall every Saturday to give lessons. He taught me for a very brief time. I don't remember much about the reason he quit teaching but enjoyed his pleasant personality and teaching style. He must have been a good teacherI still can tap dance. He taught around 1938-39. The Moose Hall was being renovated and there were no steps on the front. If you were small like I was, you needed a boost up and had to jump down. Does any one else remember taking lessons or remember the renovations to the Moose? It was nice to reminisce about this. Thanks, Frank Charney.
