David Caldwell submitted these additions
to the Drive Around Nanty Glo. First, above, is a new local bank. David
reports that it is "the C&G Bank, which recently merged with People's
Savings and Loan. People's Savings and Loan originally built and occupied
the building until the merger. C&G bank had occupied part of the building
directly across from the Post Office" (LaMantia Building, on Chestnut
Street).
Also new since the original 'Drive' pages
were added to the Home Page site is the Askew-Houser Funeral Home in the
Shoemaker Street business section, adjacent to the C&G Bank.
