Blacklick Township High School Class of 1935

The photos above and below were sent by Dale A. Long, son of Donald A. Long (center, third row),
a member of the Blacklick Township Class of 1935, recently deceased in Fair Lawn, New Jersey
at age 90. Other class members will be identified as names are provided.

Donald Long left the mementoes of his high school years shown below. Left, a beanie that was
probably part of his class initiation when a freshman in 1931-2, and right, a 1935 senior class ring,
and, bottom, a class pennant.

Dale Long writes: "My uncle Esco Charles Long was a teacher in Blacklick as well.
My father was one of nine brothers and sisters and lived in Twin Rocks. The house was
known as 'Long Corners' in that day. My mother also grew up there in town and
she was Elizabeth Burkey. She was one of seven brothers and sisters and she
graduated in 1937. The related families are Longs, Burkeys, Ragers, Millers,
Spichers & Wagners. "
