Nanty Glo, Pa., on display in
Nantyglo/Blaina, Wales

PART TWO

Trevor Rowson, the official historian of Nantyglo-Blaina, Wales, sent the following photographs taken at an exhibition featuring Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, at the Nantyglo and Blaina, Wales, heritage museum in March. The exhibit consisted of photographs, articles, and momentoes of Nanty Glo, Pa.

This is the second of two pages of photos from the exhibition. For the first section, click here. Mr. Rowson's captions follow each of these photos.

Above: Mr. Steve Bartlett, Clerk to the Nantyglo and Blaina Town
council. He was a tremendous help in staging the exhibition.
He advocates closer links between our two Nantyglos.

Alan Meyrick and Dev Powell of the Blaina heritage group
at the heritage museum where the exhibition was held.

Walter Sims of Blaina studying documents and photographs at the
exhibition. He was one of many people who stated
that Nantyglo PA was a beautiful place to live.

Engraving done in 1828 and the earliest picture of Coalbrookvale [which is the English translation of the Welsh Nantyglo]. The river going through the engraving is the River Ebbw, the original river of coal. This is the cover of a booklet which I will be sending [for the exhibition of Nantyglo, Wales, planned in Nanty Glo, Pa].
