Nature walk: Coyote Creek Trail, part 4

My seven-mile Nature Walk on June 7 continued the trail from Bailey Avenue to the three-mile marker from the trail terminus, presumably (because I've never seen its end) at a park in Morgan Hill. So the next segment should be the last going in the southerly direction. There is still a segment north of Hellyer Park, where the video records of this trail began, that I have not covered and may do so before saying adieu to Coyote Creek Trail.

Click the play button above for the Windows Media version, or if you are on a platform that is not Windows-compatible, click here to watch the video on YouTube. Double-click to make the video above full-screen.

On this segment, I had a walking partner, a recently met friend Rod Perez. We have so much to talk about when se get together that I had much less to say on camera on this hike, so this one is much shorter than any of the other naure walk videos in this series, coming in at just under six minutes.

The map shows the segment of the trail covered on June 7, as well as the rest of the area to be covered in the final segment. Presumably, the creek begins at the spillway of the large reservoir seen on the top right, but whether the trail goes there is yet to be leaned.

Thought for today

The proper aim of giving is to put the recipient in a state where he no longer needs our gift.
