the Nanty Glo in My Mind

Bayshore Trail, Part 3

Lately, I've been seeing Intuit commercials for cell phones that can process credit card payments. They are shown as having a swipe addition for the cards. A check of the Intuit website, unfortunately, reveals nothing unless you're willing to let them (potentially) "steal" your identity. But I also learned even from that mostly worthless website that a product Intuit now owns is even better known, probably, than Quicken. That's TurboTax, the best known software for preparing consumer tax returns and filing them online. Intuit also advertises that it makes free websites available, something the Nanty Glo Home Page has been doing since 1997. And I also learned that the corporate HQ is now in Mountain View, not Menlo Park, so that is probably what we saw.

Today's chuckle

Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant? I'm halfway through my fish burger and I realize, Oh my...I could be eating a slow learner.

Thought for today

The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.
